SGS Looking for Senior Financial Reporting Accountant at Mississauga, Ontario, Canada Full Time

Job Description

• Primarily responsible for accurate and timely financial and management reporting. The position will also work closely with the finance team and must be capable of liaising with staff at all levels in the organization.
• Provide technical support and expertise in all accounting matters from a sound knowledge of the SGS Group Financial Manual.
• Provide support for the SGS month end process including use of applicable IT systems and other Quarterly, Semi Annual and Annual reporting obligations.
• Reconciling Monthly Oracle reports with Hyperion Financial Management
• Maintain IFRS 16 data in applicable IT System (K-Shuttle)
• Assist in reporting month end results to parent company in Geneva using Hyperion Financial Management
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations for nominated accounts to ensure integrity and validation. Develop action plans to address issues.
• Support continuous improvement and innovation within the group/local and the Finance team.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of balance sheet reconciliations and financial statements to meet internal and external audit requirements.
• Review and post month end journal entries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Finance/Accounting.

• 4 – 6 years accounting experience
• excellent communication skills (writing, presentation, analytical)
• demonstrated experience in prioritization and working to tight deadlines with a number of competing demands.
• strong analytical and investigative skills with attention to detail
• Willingness and ability to work with minimal supervision and to effectively prioritize and schedule workloads to meet requirements and deadlines of work assignments.
• Superior skills in Excel & macros analysis.
• working knowledge of HFM Oracle an advantage
• Proven ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects in a fast-paced, highly professional environment.
