Job Description

We have an immediate opening for a full-time skilled and reliable Construction Worker. You will work on a variety of construction projects performing general labour tasks. These tasks include loading and unloading materials, concrete drilling, carrying materials, tools and equipment on site, and more. You must also be prepared to work indoors and outdoors and in different types of weather conditions. The work is physically demanding all day, every day. We primarily work in the Greater Toronto Area and surrounding municipalities, but some travel may be necessary. Our ideal candidate has some construction experience, but we are willing to train the right person.

Our goal is to train you for a long-term career with our company. However, the right candidate must be willing to learn and show an ability to develop their skills within the organization.

Construction Worker Duties and Responsibilities

  • Be punctual for work daily
  • Prepare materials, tools, and equipment at the construction site
  • Drill and chip concrete
  • Maintain a clean and safe work site
  • Follow instructions and use tools and equipment to complete daily tasks
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations
  • Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner
  • Work with epoxies and resins (safety equipment and training will be provided by your supervisor)
  • Ensure construction equipment and tools are cleaned and stored properly

Construction Worker Requirements And Qualifications

  • Have a good attitude and maintain a strong work ethic
  • Be willing to take direction and work as a team player
  • High school degree or equivalent; vocational school or trade apprenticeships a plus
  • Must be at least 20 years of age or older
  • Have own vehicle for daily travel to and from work sites (occasional travel in crew vehicles may be provided for longer distance sites and when traveling as crew is required)
  • Some experience in construction preferred
  • Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Able to work independently or as an active member of a team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must have on CSA certified steel work boots that extend up past the ankles
  • Must have current WHMIS training certificate (we will provide a link to a site for you to take the training online prior to commencing)

We offer competitive pay. Your starting hourly wage will be based on relevant experience.
