Grinner’s Food Systems Limited, franchisor of Greco Pizza, Capt. Submarine and Frozu, is currently seeking an Accountant based in Truro, NS.

The accountant will be responsible for the bookkeeping for a portfolio of franchisee files. This role reports to the Director of Finance and will support the Director of Finance with projects and day to day finance functions.

 

The ideal candidate is resourceful, detailed, efficient, and looking to contribute and grow with the company and help the team meet their goals.

 

This position will require you to:

·        Manage accounting operations for several corporate entities (bank reconciliations, payables processing, and monthly journal entries).

·        Complete period end financial statements in a timely manner.

·        Conduct month-end and year-end close process.

·        Collect, analyze, and summarize various account information.

·        Develop periodic reports for management.

·        Keep information confidential and secure.

 

Skills/Qualifications

·        Post secondary education with preference to a degree or diploma in accounting and/or work experience as an accountant with a full cycle corporate entity.

·        Proficiency in Microsoft programs including Word and Excel.

·        Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·        Strong attention to detail and confidentiality.

·        Willingness and motivation to learn new processes and procedures
