About The Job

Are you ready to shape the future of medicine? Join our Sanofi Canada team as Head of Corporate Communications and you’ll lead the development and execution of corporate communications plan and activities aimed at increasing awareness of the company in Canada among key external audiences, that include HCPs, governments, patient groups, and the general public (focus on potential hires), as well as the media.

Main responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain an internal and external communication strategy and plans to engage employees and showcase Sanofi as the employer of choice.
• Engage with key internal and external stakeholders and create and deploy metrics to continually refine strategies.
• Promote executive visibility, including conceptualizing, seeking, vetting, and preparing for opportunities, based on audience and communication goals, e.g., speaking engagements, media interviews (in collaboration with relevant regional and Global teams).
• Generate ideas and identify key moments in time for creative storytelling opportunities to drive engagement across key internal and external groups.
• Manage relevant external service providers, agencies, and consultants and their budgets to ensure effectiveness, cost-efficiency, and results achieved.
• Develop and maintain content and assets that effectively communicate our corporate narrative through a variety of communication vehicles internally and externally.
• Develop and maintain the corporate social media communication strategy and plan.
• The role also supports other key corporate programs as needed and is not limited to the above responsibilities.

About You

• 15+ years of corporate communications management experience, preferably in life science or similarly regulated industry.
• Proven experience in successfully developing and deploying media strategies and maintaining strong relationships with key journalists as well as stakeholders like PAGs, HCPs, governments, and the general public.
• Understanding of pharmaceutical, commercial, manufacturing, and regulatory environment.
• Superior writing skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees, including senior management, as well as external audiences.
• Experience working in fast-paced, matrixed, and highly collaborative environments with minimal supervision.
• Team player who is self-motivated, entrepreneurial, effective under pressure and flexible.
