Working with one of the top financial clients this role calls for a Technical Writer who will design, write and maintain online documentation for clients’ employees in banking centres, call centres and back-office operation teams. This candidate will write procedures, policy and product information, standards and guidelines, sales campaign briefs, news messages, job aids, and other documentation as needed.

Responsibilities:

Create content for the audience – You’ll write audience-centred content that is clear, accurate and complete by following internal clients and department standards and general standards for plain language and user-centred design.
Seek opportunities for improvement – You will help collect or assess end-user feedback and find ways to improve the employee and client experience. You will suggest ways to improve site navigation, documentation design and online communications, and you will research new methods and best practices for documentation.
Work closely with internal partners and subject-matter experts to make sure information is correct and complete.
Work independently and with the team – You’ll work with minimal supervision, keeping management informed and escalating issues when needed. You’ll work with the team to deliver large communication projects and independently lead small to medium projects. You will participate in project meetings, contribute to post-implementation reviews, and support team members by sharing expertise, knowledge and information.

Desired Skill Set:

4+ years of experience as a Technical Writer
Skilled at writing in “plain language”
Able to create content in an online environment.
Experience with HTML or a related language and the knowledge of linking content from different pages together to create cohesive documentation.
Understanding of metadata and search engine optimization.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple deliverables

Nice To Have:

Experience with Service Now, JIRA and SharePoint
Experience in the Financial Industry
