Job Description:
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:
As a Senior Audit Manager, Business Management and Reporting, you will plan, manage, and deliver distinct projects through all specific phases, in alignment with business and/or enterprise strategies. Provide leadership, direction and coaching to teams(s) while partnering with business and executive stakeholders within a single or across multiple Lines of Business (LoB). Provides consultative support, business insight, advice, and expertise to guide decision making and/or strategic planning by leveraging and interpreting data and analytical models to provide business specific or broad strategic insight and using a variety of audience-specific communication techniques.
You would also be responsible to provide thought leadership and facilitate key strategic audit discussions with executives as you build new relationships with key enterprise partners and gain a deeper understanding into our processes. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Identify, prioritize, and execute on process simplification, automation, and other improvement opportunities.
Ensure an integrated and aggregated view of all related activities across the overall function providing escalations, recommendations, and decision support to leadership.
Forecast initiatives and demand, and coordinate prioritization of the portfolio/ initiatives with key stakeholders.
Develop, manage, and maintain comprehensive project documentation and apply governance.
Developing scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders.
Lead and manage oversight of project plan, risk and issues log, and reporting for assigned workstreams.
Lead and manage working groups, facilitate meetings, ensure alignment to program goals, identify and mitigate risks as they arise.
Collaborates with other Project Managers to closely manage cross-workstream dependencies.
Provide business analysis, support definition of strategy, and general change management functions as needed.
Ensures artifacts are preserved in accordance with program governance standards.
Provide consultation to executives and senior leaders on project risks and mitigation strategies as necessary.
Indirectly manages a cross-LoB Project team consisting of Business Analysts, Business SMEs and Technology Resources where applicable.
Provide leadership, direction, advice, and guidance to the teams, thus maintaining high levels of integrity, motivation, and morale.
Reviews and/or contributes on the presentation of insights back to executive leaders / business partners to drive strategic improvement; also responsible for contributing to overall direction of team regarding emerging tools/ techniques/ methods in presenting or visualizing key information.
Leverages data systems and various sources to ensure team is equipped to formulate well defined solutions to solve business problems.
Oversees the development and ongoing analysis for a business line or functional area employing both internal and external data from various sources.
Participate in Audit and enterprise committees, meetings, or programs.
Respond to all requests in a timely manner.
Provide guidance, leadership, mentorship, and development to ensure operational results and professional and personal development objectives are achieved for the overall group.
Identify, mitigate, and report on risk issues according to guidelines and ensure appropriate escalation processes are followed; raise nonstandard issues to relevant shareholders and audit management where required.
Be a strategic advisor to leadership team on the management of the portfolio and financials with deep industry and enterprise knowledge.
Lead the team in the development and integrated implementation of policies, processes, procedures, changes across multiple audit areas while ensuring they follow applicable regulations and stay knowledgeable on emerging issues, trends, and regulatory requirements.
Build a positive and diverse work environment where team members can share their challenges by giving them equal opportunities and inspiring them to achieve common objectives.
Provide functional / business level communications to ensure messages to stakeholders and/or leaders are consistent, appropriate and aligned to business strategies and executive management direction.
Ensure team adheres to internal policies / procedures, enterprise frameworks and methodologies and applicable regulatory guidelines, contribute to the review of internal processes and activities and assist in identifying potential opportunities to improve operational efficiencies for their business area.
Support team in staying knowledgeable on emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assess potential impacts to the Bank.
Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes and sound infrastructure in alignment with risk appetite.
Set operational team direction and collaborate with others to execute on common goals.
Focus on long term planning for functional area.
Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.
Generally reports to an executive role.
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
Over 10 years of relevant experience with undergraduate degree and relevant professional certifications, accounting designations, or equivalent education (e.g., LeanSixSigma, PMP, CIA, CPA, etc.).
Deep knowledge and understanding of businesses and organizational practices and disciplines.
Ardent in processing and handling confidential information with discretion while acting with the highest levels of integrity.
Strong analytical and program solving skills are required to interpret data and draw conclusions.
Proficiency with MS Office, analytical tools, and Internet applications.
A strong negotiator and decision maker who can influence business leaders and make rationale choices.
A dynamic leader who can work collaboratively, communicate effectively in both oral and written form and build relationships across teams and functions in a fast-changing environment.
Strong organization/time management skills.
Ability to work on multiple concurrent projects.
Ability to make business decisions based upon sound judgement.
