Sai Dham Food Bank is an independent non-profit organization located in Etobicoke, ON. Our mission is to offer food assistance to individuals in need with dignity, empathy, and efficacy. We are well-known for operating around the clock and tirelessly serving over 25,000 vulnerable individuals each month. Our services include food package deliveries for registered seniors and people with special needs, food support for children in schools, churches, and the community, feeding the homeless in major downtown areas, supporting international students with food support, and providing free recreational support for seniors at our registered senior homes and retirement homes.
Role Description
This is a part-time role for an Accountant. The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing and analyzing financial statements, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, processing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and providing financial reports to management. This is an on-site role located in Etobicoke, ON.
Qualifications
- Experience in accounting and financial management
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in financial software and MS Excel
- Ability to analyze financial data and generate reports
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of non-profit accounting and tax regulations is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
