Kelly Services has partnered with a Non-Profit organization located in Vancouver, British Columbia to recruit a Bookkeeper for a temporary position. Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:30am- 4:30pm or 09am-05 pm

Job Responsibilities:

  • Handle the entire Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes.
  • Record vendor invoices, process payments to vendors, resolve payment discrepancies, and ensure all supporting documentation for payments is complete.
  • Manage payables with accurate account coding, appropriate approvals, submission, and reconciliation using Dext and Plooto.
  • Monitor customer and member accounts for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities.
  • Coordinate with the accounting back-office team to prepare member renewal invoices.
  • Send invoice reminders and maintain communication with customers and members.
  • Assist with the invoicing for the BC Tech Internship program.
  • Provide weekly reports on finance activities as directed.
  • Manage the accounting inbox and respond to queries promptly.
  • Deposit received payments.
  • Provide ad hoc financial support and reporting as directed by the VP, Finance & Operations.
  • Assist with year-end requirements and other financial tasks as needed.
  • Conduct monthly credit card reconciliations to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and proper documentation of all charges.

Qualifications:

  • Certificate or diploma in accounting or finance is required.
  • Minimum 3-4 years of relevant work experience or a similar role.
  • Experience with accounting systems, preferably QuickBooks Online.
  • Knowledge in MS Office and Intermediate Excel
  • Ability to work independently analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage diverse workloads effectively and independently.
  • Deadline driven, with super dedication, exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
