Description:
Educational Strategy Design and Development Lead the design of project education strategies by both working autonomously and providing strategic advice to the leadership team about best practices for educational design and knowledge translation across multiple complex stakeholders. Lead co-design sessions with stakeholders and subject matter experts to design educational materials and digital search strategies to successfully implement web-based education strategies and tools. Oversee the refreshing of CCA’s external website content for both patients/families and PHC staff regarding self-navigation, symptom management, survivorship in collaboration with CCA Patient Education. Stakeholder Engagement Establish and maintain strong working relationships with multiple, complex, key stakeholders to achieve expected deliverables. Stakeholders include patient/families/caregivers, subject matter experts (physicians, researchers, cancer care teams), AHS and PHC leadership, other educators, facilitators, graphic designers, and PHC partners including Alberta Medical Association Accelerated Change Transformation Together (ACCT) team members, Primary Care Networks, ACFP (Alberta College of Family Physicians), CPSA (College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta) and multi-partner communication advisors. Project Management and Leadership Lead the planning and implementation of revised and updated digital education content, including the development/execution of work plans, tracking/reporting of milestones, engagement of stakeholders, and use of appropriate tools and processes to achieve deliverables. Lead provincial project teams and working groups in compliance and monitoring to achieve milestones and objectives.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a health-related discipline or education, plus a certificate in Adult Learning, Educational Design, or a related subject. Equivalencies of education and experience may be considered.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 5-7 years of instructional design and/or educational development experience with progressive responsibility in the area of expertise in a related environment. Ability to confidently and effectively communicate, collaborate, consult and manage project work with a variety of leaders and stakeholders in a distributed environment. Ability to build positive and trusting working relationships with stakeholders (clients, subject matter experts, partners). Excellent computer skills including expert knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel required. Demonstrated abilities in strategic education planning and implementation Ability to search out and evaluate the best evidence required. Requires exceptional interpersonal, verbal, written and listening skills. Ability to develop and facilitate presentations to convey information or transfer knowledge. Demonstrated ability to work independently within a large, complex system with a variety of stakeholders. Demonstrated needs identification, gap analysis, critical thinking skills, decision-making, innovative problem-solving. Demonstrated abilities in conflict resolution and management and well-developed facilitation skills. Proven ability to develop communications strategies that leverage opportunities and address challenges.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree with specialization in educational design, web development or in a health related discipline. Training in Instructional design. Knowledge of design programs including Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator preferred.
