Job Description Reporting to the Provincial Manager, Financial Services, the Accounting Clerk is responsible for a variety of accounting functions such as invoice and payment processing, ensuring that vendor accounts are in good standing, processing cash receipts and journal entries, analyzing and reconciling general ledger accounts, producing various reports and dealing with individuals both within and outside the organization to resolve a variety of accounting-related matters.

Required Qualifications
- Diploma in Business Administration/Accounting plus two (2) years previous relevant experience in a comparable accounting environment using financial software/systems; OR Accounting Certificate plus five (5) years previous relevant experience in a comparable accounting environment using financial software/systems.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Ability to apply basic accounting principles in order to perform basic accounting functions.
- Ability to competently use computers and Microsoft applications
- Ability to enter data with accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships and collaborative partnerships with co-workers, patients/clients healthcare professionals and diverse stakeholders across the province
- Ability to handle multiple and competing duties and deadlines
- Ability to interpret detailed information and communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
- Requires high degree of judgment and problem solving ability and critical thinking skills to identify, analyze and define problems and determine the most appropriate solution.
