BCIT’s School of Transportation is currently seeking a regular part-time (0.5 FTE) Instructor in the Aviation Operations Programmes.

The Aviation Operations team has a permanent (0.5 FTE) instructional position in the Airport Operations, and Airline and Flight Operations Fixed and Rotary Wing programme area at the Aerospace Technology campus in Richmond.

Duties & Responsibilities
Duties & Responsibilities:
The programme curriculum includes courses in the following areas:
Foundation Skills including communication, leadership, project management and teamwork skills and technical writing
Aviation Operations including both airline and airport
Aviation Safety and Emergency Response
Aviation Business and Management
Flight Operations
Part Time Studies courses
Industry Services offerings
Responsibilities will include curriculum development and enhancement and course delivery/instruction within the programme area.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
A minimum of a diploma or higher education in the areas of Business Administration, Adult Education, and/or related aviation programmes.
Five years or more of experience in aviation management and/or operations
Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
Competent with various educational technologies including learning management systems, simulation software, MS Office, Outlook and virtual meeting platforms.
A minimum of five years of experience developing course material and instructing in online and/or face-to-face delivery modes
Proven track record of working collaboratively and collegially with faculty and staff

Salary Range $68,375 – $101,563 per annum.
Additional Salary Information
Salary prorated based on percentage and term of appointment.
