Job Description Hiring Construction General Labor for one of our clients in Woodbridge, ON, Canada
Responsibilities:
- Ability to do physically demanding tasks such as heavy lifting, lengthy standing or walking, or pushing or hauling large objects or supplies
- Prepare substrate for the self-leveling compound.
- Help with insulation, plasterboard, tape and mud, steel stud framing, wood framing, painting and plasterboard.
- Demolition, finishing cement, restoring concrete, and removing forms.
- Understanding of the procedures, techniques, machinery, supplies, and tools utilized on a building site.
- Use heavy equipment
- Participate in site inspections and actively promote the development of an onsite culture of health and safety by setting an example for others.
- Obey supervisory orders to carry out manual labor responsibilities
- Make sure to clean and properly store all tools and equipment for construction.
- Observe directions and work both individually and as a team.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Construction experience (1-3 years)
- Must have self-leveling experience
- WHIMS and Working at Heights Certificate.
- Attention to detail and physical stamina.
- Strong communication skills.
- Commitment to safety.
- Experience in concrete forming, pouring, and finishing will be an asset
- Must know hand tools and power tools
- Confidence to practice safe work procedures and comfortable working at heights
Job type: Full time
Shifts: 7:00am-5:00pm Monday-Friday
