Elemental is looking for enthusiastic candidates looking to support renewable energy project development based out of our beautiful Vancouver office.

Responsibilities:           

• Prepare journal entries and assist in completing monthly, quarterly, and annual working paper files for internal management review and compliance reporting.
• Support with the financial annual audit of Elemental Energy and its subsidiaries.
• Assist with compiling data and documents for the annual audit of renewable energy credits, construction loan draws, and grant submissions.
• Assist with preparing the annual budget for operating and development projects.
• Prepare monthly GST and PST reports and support with GST and PST audits.
• Assist with preparing monthly cash flow forecasts for operating, development, and construction projects.
• Prepare bank reconciliations.
• Validate expense reports and corporate credit card charges.
• Maintain and organize accurate financial files.

• Excellent verbal and written communication and numeracy skills.
• Enthusiastic about renewable energy and sustainability.
• Self-starter with a high attention to detail and extremely well-organized.
• Strong work ethic and high integrity.
• Knowledge of MS Office, including Word and Excel.
• Experience with Sage50 or other accounting software is a benefit.
• Able to work both independently and with a team and to maintain a positive work environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to take initiative to find creative solutions to emerging issues. 

Qualifications:    

• Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Accounting with intention to enroll in the CPA program

Experience:

• This is an entry-level position and candidates with 0-2 years of work experience are preferred.
