As an integrated member of a highly skilled team responsible for managing product security evaluations, the Security & Certifications (S&C) Analyst is responsible for managing security evaluations in multiple sites to facilitate the smooth passage of products through evaluation and certification process. In support of the certification process, the Security & Certifications Analyst is required to collaborate with 3rd party companies and subcontractors in order to obtain the required product certifications, which include FIPS 140, PCI, Common Criteria, and other regionally focused security standards. This position is necessary to support effective management of DIS, CPL security certifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for Certifications Projects and must be able to;
Deliver Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) 140, Common Criteria (CC), Payments Card Industry (PCI), and regionally focused committed security certifications for new and existing products with the objective of obtaining security certifications in a timely and cost effective manner;
Collaborate with product owners and Engineering teams in security certifications strategy, planning, and in managing evaluations activities to address security and certifications requirements to achieve target certifications;
Lead certifications projects plans to ensure timely delivery of milestones, including presentation of regular reports defining progress against major milestones, and escalations to project leads when roadblocks occur and need intervention
Participate in the security certification standards bodies and keep abreast of emerging standards as required by the business
Required Skills & Experience:
BSCS, BSCE, BSEE, or equivalent experience required.
5+ years of direct security evaluation experience on commercial products, preferably with FIPS 140-2, Common Criteria, and/or PCI;
Excellent English written and verbal communications skills;
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal direct supervision; and demonstrated problem solving skills and working effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
A broad understanding of hardware, software, and systems engineering best practices; practical product development experience in any of the engineering domains a plus;
Proactive – Develops pragmatic solutions, takes ownership, has a ‘can do’ approach;
Technically curious – regards technology problems as challenges;
Creative – connects the technical dots with a goal of building customer value;
Responsive – Always reacts quickly and with a sense of urgency to requests, issues, emails or other events in a timely and flexible fashion.
