Job Purpose The Food Services Worker A is responsible for portioning and serving food.
Qualifications
- High school graduation or equivalent (Grade 10 plus 2 + years of direct experience).
- Must be physically able to work steadily at assigned duties.
- Standing and walking for a majority of the work schedule.
- Requires full use of upper and lower limbs and must be able to work with arms raised above shoulder level.
- Ability to attend work on a regular basis.
- Ability to perform the duties of the position.
- Good work record.
Key Responsibilities
The Food Services Worker A is responsible for:
- Preparing meal trays
- Loading and activating meal carts
- Setting up and closing food preparation equipment
- Preparing basic food items and monitoring food temperatures
- Portioning, delivering and serving foods
- Cleaning and sanitizing small ware, equipment, and work areas
- Restocking and storing supplies and maintaining inventory records
- Operating the cash register and preparing deposits and reports.
