Your new comapny :

This organization is a leader within the logistics industry, specializing in trucking. We are seeking a junior accountant immediately for a 1 month contract to start, the with strong potential to convert into a permanent position. You will be working full-time, Monday-Friday. There is also flexibility to work on a hybrid basis after 3 weeks of training.

Your new role :

Reporting into the director of finance, you’ll contribute to the management of their operations. Your responsibilities will include:

Issuing invoices and maintaining accounts receivable
Processing accounts payable invoices
Auditing freight invoices from carriers and perform balance sheet reconciliations
Assisting in the preparation of monthly / yearly closings

What you’ll need to succeed :

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with 2 – 5 years accounting experience
You will have working knowledge of reconciling balance sheets
Proficiency in accounting software and Excel.
Strong analytical skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

What you’ll get in return :

In return for your skills and expertise there is competitive hourly pay of $25.00 to $28.00 per hour .You will work Monday-Friday. This is a 1 month contract with potential to extend or become permanent. Along with your weekly pay as a contractor with Hays, you also have the flexibility to work on a hybrid basis after training.
