The Opportunity

Under Sunwing Vacations, we are looking for an Inventory Coordinator to join us in making vacation dreams come true. As an Inventory Coordinator, you will be responsible for the effective operational duties which support room inventory management, supplier relationships and departmental responsibilities. The position reports to the Inventory Manager and will be located in Toronto, ON.

What You’ll Do

Manage booking changes for connected hotels from request from the business to completion with the hotel.
Action requests from groups and sales centres for connected hotels when not available through the connection
Request rates from the hotels when required, and provide quotes on sales centre bookings.
Provide rates to costings to build the rates.
Email the hotel to advise of the change – ensure the hotel confirms back they have made the update.
Manage TTS queues for connected hotels.
Provide support to the inventory department for recaps of contract offers.
Action reporting for assigned hotel chains for group booking recap.
Action reporting for promotions for assigned hotel chains.
Other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need

Understanding of the travel industry coupled with 2 years of experience in tour operations.
Strong commercial/sales sense is required.
Must be organized, and analytical and work well under pressure with minimum supervision
Good prioritization/time management skills and understanding of time-sensitive issues is required.
Working knowledge of TTS and other reservation systems. Basic Computer Skills (Word, Excel, Email)
Good verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills with an understanding of the interaction with their departments and their basic function
