We are experiencing exponential growth in our presence in Canada. In 1998, it was awarded for the construction, operation, and maintenance project for the Fredericton-Moncton Highway. In 2011, it was awarded a section of the Toronto-York Spadina Subway extension, the first modern subway infrastructure project in the city. This project was completed in 2018.

FCC Construcción Canadá has won a new contract to deliver the Pape Tunnel and Underground Stations section of the Ontario Line, together with the GO Rail Expansion-On Corridor Project and the Scarborough Subway Extension Stations, Rail and Systems Project reinforces FCC Construcción’s presence in the Canadian market.

Project Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Site Supervisor to join our FCC Canada team.

Reports to: Construction Manager

The Site Supervisor’s key responsibilities are:

• Supervise all on-site activities related to construction, including demolition and utility installations.
• Help with the preparation of supporting documentation including bill of materials, databases, testing plans, schedules, and related contract documents.
• Ensure work is carried out according to project plans, specifications, and timelines.
• Keep daily records and logs in accordance with Company and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure timely completion.
• Enforce safety protocols and ensure all workers adhere to safety standards, devise and implement site policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular project inspections and maintenance of systems and equipment.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Manage on-site resources efficiently, including labor, materials, and equipment.
• Communicate effectively with workers, providing clear instructions and guidance.
• Inspect work to ensure it meets quality standards and project specifications.
• Coordinate and support of onsite logistics
• Travel to project sites as required.

Education and Qualifications

• 5 to 10 years of construction Site Supervision background, or an equivalent combination of technical training and industry experience, including demolition and utility work.
• Experience with the interpretation of and adherence with the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act and Construction Act.
• Self-motivated, with strong desire to learn and lead others.
• Well organized, with the ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects.

Job Requirements

• Proven ability to supervise on-site construction activities and manage site personnel effectively.
• Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to motivate and guide teams.
• Ability to monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to ensure timely completion.
• Thorough knowledge of and ability to enforce safety protocols and standards on construction sites.
