Position: Maintenance Supervisor Reports to: Maintenance Manager

We are looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to join our Maintenance team! Our Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for supervising the maintenance team to ensure that all maintenance assignments are carried out in an efficient and safe manner.

Experience

  • You have a Bachelors in Engineering, Red Seal Millwright/Electrician or relate discipline
  • You have at least 3 years of experience as a supervisor or a similar role in the food manufacturing industry

Nice-to-Have

  • 5th Class Steam Engineering certification
  • Commitment to on-going professional and personal development

things you will do…

  • Organize maintenance work assignments within appropriate timeframes and stay within allocated budget
  • Set-up, maintain, and supervise preventative maintenance systems, inspection routines, scheduling, training and more
  • Coordinate contractors’ activities and uphold communication with stakeholders as needed
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives and safety objectives
  • Strive for zero incidents and ensure a people centered safety culture exists within the department
  • Perform audits of in-process and closed work orders and track spare parts inventory
