We are looking for a special education teacher, for the Evolutions regional program at Heritage Regional High School located at 7545 chemin de Chambly in Saint-Hubert.
DESCRIPTION:
Evolutions is a regional program designed for students exhibiting academic difficulties primarily due to language-based learning difficulties and disorders.
We have an Evolutions class at every level (Sec. 1-5). The focus of the program is to improve literacy skills while meeting the secondary Ministry requirements. The use of assistive technology will be integrated as a means for students to increase their level of autonomy and proficiency in the completion of secondary academic tasks.
The resource teacher will coordinate and collaborate with the Evolutions teachers and support staff from Sec. 1-5 to allow for the consistent modelling and use of literacy approaches across multiple subjects.
Resource teacher needs to feel comfortable working with this profile of students and collaborate closely with the staff involved, including Complementary Services professionals on a regular basis.
REQUIREMENTS:
Hold a teaching permit.
OR legal teaching authorization.
OR Bachelor degree in a relevant field
Teaching experience is an asset.
SALARIES AND BENEFITS:
Salary and working conditions as per the teachers’ collective agreement.
