Our business is currently seeking a bookkeeper to join our small team as a contractor with the potential to become an employee!
This is a remote, work from home job with no on-site work required
You will be responsible for the monthly bookkeeping and payroll tasks and for assisting with the preparation of the financial records for our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Perform data entry and administrative duties using receipt capturing software
- Processing the bank feeds in Quickbooks Online
- Bank and credit card statement reconciliations
- Accounts payable and receivable review
- Filing sales tax returns (GST and PST)
- Running client payroll and year end T4’s
- Preparing management reports in excel
- Assisting with forecasting and other advisory preparation work.
- Ensuring internal records are organized and compliant
- On-going process and system improvements to streamline and improve efficiencies
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in bookkeeping, accounting, finance, or other related fields (minimum 3 years)
- Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
- Certified and experienced in Quickbooks Online
- Solid experience and comfortable using excel
- Experience with Dext would be a bonus
- Self-motivated and autonomous
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Strong organizational skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Proactive and driven to improve systems and find efficiencies
Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20-30 per week
Salary: $20.00-$28.00 per hour
