The Opportunity
BluMetric Environmental Inc. is actively looking for a Recruitment Specialist to compliment the HR team and assist our hiring managers. The Recruitment Specialist will lead full-cycle recruitment for all lines of business to support BluMetric’s short and long-term staffing objectives. The incumbent will report to the Human Resources Manager, actioning all assigned requisitions from drafting of job postings to candidate sourcing, resume review, interview set-up, and conducting reference and background checks.

Key Responsibilities
Actioning all staffing needs based on organizational plans and objectives; meeting with BluMetric leaders to discuss requirements and devise recruitment campaigns
Determining job specifications and candidate qualifications, defining Job Description as needed
Attracting applicants by placing job postings on social media; contacting educational institutions, using online networking opportunities, and accessing job sites
Determining applicant qualifications by screening and interviewing applicants, verifying references, comparing qualifications to job requirements, and completing background checks where needed
Arranging interviews with hiring leaders and candidates as required
Assisting in the administration and delivery of offer letters, employment contracts, temporary work assignments, and contract extensions
Updating requisitions and maintaining data integrity in our recruitment registry
Mining applicants through universities and colleges, employment agencies, social media, and internet sites; providing organization information, opportunities, and benefits; making presentations; maintaining rapport
Ensuring a positive candidate experience in line with BluMetric’s recruitment brand and values
Attending job fairs, webinars, and other recruitment events (virtually for now)
Running meetings and preparing regular status updates on requisitions and recruitment metrics on attrition and turnover
Liaising with and between IT, Payroll, and various other departments in the delivery of onboarding processes for all new employees
Seeking out, obtaining, and maintaining employment funding through various government offered programs
Administering the BluMetric student recruitment program in coordination with hiring managers and the executive team
Other ad hoc requirements related to recruitment/selection, onboarding, orientation, and HR operations as required
Qualifications, Education, and Skills
Relevant post-secondary education in Business Administration, Human Resources, Recruitment and Selection
Minimum of one year demonstrated experience working in a recruitment role
Experience sourcing passive candidates – bonus for sourcing technical roles
Outgoing personality with excellent communication skills, (written and oral)
Experience working with and accurately maintaining a Recruitment Registry or Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize competing demands
Proven ability to work independently and as a team member
Ability to adapt behavior, opinions, tactics and strategies to different situations, individuals, or changing priorities
Ability to be flexible and work analytically in a problem-solving environment
Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills
A high degree of professional integrity and discretion when dealing with sensitive, confidential information
Results-orientated approach to recruitment and a willingness to assist with multiple open recruitment requirements as needed
Strong working knowledge of MS Office suite -Word, Teams, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint
Bilingual in English and French considered a strong asset
