Key Responsibilities:
Develop and direct logistic processes and establish ongoing improvement plans for freight management, vendor routing, and carrier management.
Develop, implement, and monitor performance metrics for transportation, shipping and receiving.
Create, monitor, and report on weekly and monthly logistics key performance indicators.
Work with inventory planning personnel to minimize shortages and improve inventory holdings.
Collaborate with third party distribution warehouse facilities to effectively manage costs and services provided.
Track/trace inbound/outbound finished goods and raw materials for all facilities.
Supervise shipping personnel
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
A degree or diploma in business, with a focus on manufacturing, warehousing, transportation, supply chain management, inventory control, or materials management
A minimum of 5 years of practical experience working in a busy manufacturing environment
Experience in managing third-party logistics providers.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as excellent customer service orientation;
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proven leadership ability
Self-motivated and able to work in a team environment with little supervision
Some travel may be required, including travel into the US.
