Summary
Under the supervision of the Director of Finance, the accounting technician participates in all tasks of the complete accounting cycle.
Responsibilities
Record supplier invoices, prepare their payment and ensure the correct coding of current transactions.
Oversee the accounts receivable process.
Follow up with various internal and external collaborators to ensure the proper processing of transactions.
Produce end-of-period journal entries and accruals.
Perform bank reconciliations and any other treasury items.
Prepare government remittances.
Participate in the preparation of financial statements and other financial reports for analysis and management purposes.
Provide support to the team in the context of audits and special projects.
Participate in the implementation and continuous improvement of the accounting process and suggest ways to improve the performance of the accounting system.
Perform all other ad-hoc related tasks.
Qualifications
DEP / DEC / AEC in accounting.
Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience.
Able to multi-task, possess excellent prioritizing and time management skills.
Good mastery of the Office suite (especially with Excel) and interest in developing his knowledge.
Exemplary attention to detail.
Proactive attitude with the capability to work autonomously.
Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment.
Professionalism in interactions with colleagues and senior management.
