Summary
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Holding Compound Supervisor will be responsible for all day-to-day compound operations and oversee the vehicle holding compound coordinators. This includes organizing workflow, maintaining standards and best practices regarding inventory management and vehicle movement. Monitor team productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching. Maintain solid customer relationships by handling questions and concerns with speed and professionalism. Ability to collaborate with other departments to ensure we are meeting our customer’s needs.
Job Responsibilities:
Ensure inventory practices are being followed, monthly inventory and system accuracy. Making certain that team is maintaining secure storage of vehicles and vehicle keys.
Work with team and mechanical shops to ensure post sales inspections are being completed within 48hrs of arrival.
Effective communication with manager and team members, ensuring two-way communication is happening.
Lead and collaborate with team to ensure we are always finding ways to improve our customer service and productivity.
Interdepartmental support and collaboration include but are not limited to, Transport, Sales Resolution, Vehicle Inspections and Sales.
Ensure team is completing weekly and monthly KPI’s.
Support timely pick up of vehicles, working with Sales to ensure our aged inventory tracking system is updated and customers are contacted for pick-ups.
Monitor team productivity, provide coaching and constructive feedback.
Ensure all property, buildings, fences, and access gates are properly maintained and operational.
Check-in and check-out vehicles in accordance with operational procedures using EBlock’s operations system.
Control release of vehicles with approval and filing of vehicle release forms.
Ensure all yard operations are conducted with employee health and safety in mind.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: 2 years wholesale auto auction experience preferred or equivalent experience.
Pervious supervisory experience preferred.
Proficient user of MS Office software.
Familiarity with general office procedures.
Competencies/Skills: Effective customer service and organizational skills required. Understanding of computer and mobile technology and ability to use common business applications.
Requirements Valid Drivers’ license and clean drivers’ abstract.
Work Conditions:
Position is currently a day shift. Candidate should expect working varies hours depending on business needs
Work environment outdoor work in varying weather conditions. Some indoor work related to general administrative duties.
Manual dexterity may be required to use desktop computer, cell phone and peripheral.
Physical Demands: Ability to work outside and be on foot for extended periods of time. Vision abilities required include close, distance, color and depth perception. Ability to walk medium to long distances during the workday.
Overtime as required.
