Alberta Health Services is currently looking to add 10 Provincial Education Delivery Leads (PEDL) to the Connect Care team. Connect Care is a transformative provincial health care program that looks to integrate over 1300 independent systems across Alberta into one platform that will enhance patient quality care as we know it. Reporting to the Clinical Operations Assistant Manager the PEDL role is responsible for the delivery of provincially developed curriculum to Connect Care end users across Alberta in one or more areas of clinical specialization. The PEDL role uses accomplished interpersonal skill and healthcare expertise to collaborate closely with Senior Trainers, Clinical Informatics Education Leads and other provincial stakeholders to build, assess and refine curriculum content for clinical practice and end user functionality. The successful candidate will bring an experienced combination of communication, problem solving and prioritization skills as they work closely with a range of project and operational healthcare professionals. The PEDL will also have proven project management abilities as you may be asked to lead meetings, resolve conflicts, maintain an issues list and help manage project deadlines. The successful PEDL will be self driven with the ability to work both independently but also as a key collaborative resource on the Connect Care team. PEDLs are recruited, trained and supported to instruct and support peers in workflows that align with their practice experience promoting safe, acceptable Clinical Information System use while also noting potential improvement opportunities. Description:
A Provincial Education Delivery Leads (PEDL) will deliver provincially developed curriculum to support clinical operations for the implementation of Connect Care in all relevant Alberta Health Services and affiliate partner location. The successful Leads are interested in training their colleagues and are excited to positively contribute to the further refinement of provider, end-user training. All Leads will work collaboratively with provincial Senior Trainers and Clinical Informatics Education Leads to develop their own proficiency with Connect Care to facilitate productive training, communications and interactions. Additionally, they will participate in teach backs as preparation for training delivery. PED Leads will formally train End Users and Super Users for their roles as well as provide launch support due to their extensive knowledge of the system and experience in training their colleagues.

Required Qualifications:
A minimum of 2 years of direct experience with delivery of adult education and training material, both in-person and/or virtually. Membership in good standing with appropriate professional organization (ex. CARNA, HSAA, etc.). Working knowledge of the Alberta Health Services or Covenant Health clinical workflows and related informatics. Experience supervising, mentoring and supporting junior and/or administrative staff. Ability to travel across Alberta (all zones and areas). Credentialed in EPIC or related Connect Care applications.
