Sansin Corporation Looking for Controller at Strathroy, ON Full Time

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Controller has primary responsibilities for the financial stewardship of the business, including the effective and efficient management of the business’ administrative activities and the proper management of risk. The position has a broad set of responsibilities which include:

Responsibilities:

• Maintain an effective accounting system and ensure all transactions within the system are appropriate and properly recorded.
• Maintain an effective cost and pricing system and ensure periodic cost and pricing changes are completed accurately and on time.
• Perform treasury activities, including banking, investment, petty cash, etc. to ensure beneficial and reliable cashflows.
• Develop and complete Management reporting on a timely basis to ensure business results are clearly understood by appropriate parties and to support effective decision-making.
• Manage the accounts receivable process to ensure prompt Customer payments and minimize bad debt risk.
• Manage the accounts payable process to ensure balance between timely supplier payments and prudent cash management.
• Maintain an effective and accurate payroll system and perform all transaction processing.
• Manage the Customer order processing process to ensure rapid and accurate order delivery to Production.
• Lead regular business planning activities, including annual budgeting and monthly forecasting.
• Assist in Human Resources management, including payroll and compensation structure and administration.
• Assist in managing insurance and other risk mechanisms to ensure the Company is protected from business risk at determined levels.
• Maintain corporate documents, including filings of corporate documents of record and intercompany agreements.
• Liaise with external accounting firm for quarterly/annual reviews and corporate tax returns.
• Support purchasing activities on day-to-day transactions and provide strategic support for improvements in the purchasing process.
• Manage and provide leadership to department staff, including hiring, communication, motivation, process improvement support, coaching and development, and discipline.

• Proficiency in Accounting/MRP software and Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel)

Education and Experience Required:

• University degree in Finance or other business-related discipline
• Professional accounting designation desirable
• 10 plus years of related experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $70,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
