Bancroft Community Family Health Team
This 1.0 FTE position involves working 5 days per week as a Medical Receptionist. You will be working as a team with physicians, medical clinic and Family Health Team staff to provide coordinated quality patient care.
Responsibilities include checking in patients, answering the phone, responding to patient inquiries, processing patient paperwork, and maintaining various electronic patient engagement platforms. There are other clerical duties such as scanning, referral tracking, and gathering patient consents. The environment is very busy and fast paced.
Attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff is essential. The ideal candidate must be motivated, able to work independently, and keen to take initiative. Flexibility to respond to a fluctuating workload and changing environment are important qualities.
Preferred candidate will have previous experience in the healthcare field. Proficiency in the use of a variety of computer programs, web-based platforms, and electronic health records is an asset.
The Medical Clinic is a HOOPP (Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan) employer. This position is eligible for HOOPP.
