The Front of House Manager is responsible for creating, stimulating, and maintaining a vibrant food and beverage experience at Wellings of Corunna; one that attracts prospective community members, engages staff and suppliers and fosters an environment that enables existing Community Members to live life to their fullest potential.

Ø Follow service manual standards and train staff as needed to provide top notch service.
Ø Part of service team for food and beverage service
Food and Beverage
Develop and implement techniques and resources designed to attain and maintain occupancy through the creation and execution of programming and events
Ø In partnership with General Manager, Activities Coordinator and Chef, hire a full complement of serving and/or bar staff, putting in place all training and development necessary to provide excellence in all aspects of service
Ø Oversee all liquor and beer purchasing and inventory management required
Ø Assist the Chef with food and supply ordering and reconcile invoices
Ø Ensure Wellings of Corunna exceeds the standards set by Regulatory bodies such as Public Health
Ø Build a knowledge base of operating best practices, procedures and policies as they relate to Food Services
Ø Work within the “extended market” to promote Wellings of Corunna, such as attending local events and assisting with marketing presentations in the community.
Event Planning
Ø Plan and execute regular events within the building for both Community Members and Marketing purposes to ensure a lively environment for those who live at Wellings and those who are planning to move.
Ø Work with GM and Activities Coordinator to create invite lists for all events and assist with marketing strategies to promote events
Ø Responsible to work with GM, Activities Coordinator and Chef to ensure all aspects of events are planned and looked after including schedule and training of staff, ordering necessary inventory/décor/supplies for event, appropriate menu and drinks planning, music etc.
Ø Promote and maintain key relationships within Lambton County and beyond with suppliers, community influencers and prospective members.
The Candidate would come from a Food and Beverage background, who is either currently in a management role or looking to take the next step to lead a team.
