AR/AP Coordinator
Reporting to the Controller and the AR/AP Lead, you will be part of a dynamic team that values collaboration and continuous learning and will bring energy and passion into everything they do with accuracy and efficiency. This position proactively works with various departments and with clients to receive payments in a timely manner and reconcile accounts. It will require good judgement, confidentiality, and adherence to departmental and company policies and procedures.
JOB OUTLINE:
The AR/AP Coordinator is responsible for being a diligent support for the Brewery team, the Finance Team, and the AR/AP Lead.
· Assist with full cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable process.
· Reconciliation and posting of both payables and receivables for the Grocery, LCBO, and TBS (The Beer Store) channels, including investigating discrepancies while maintaining a good relationship with these customers.
· Develop and produce weekly and monthly AR reporting and company blocked account analysis.
· Under the direction of the AP/AR Lead, help to maintain the company’s AR and AP function including:
o Develop positive relationship with existing customers and contact customers on a regular basis regarding collection of accounts. Resolve overdue or inactive accounts to minimize days in receivable and bad debt.
o Establish credit inquiry for new customers, conduct the pre-authorization for new or re-active customer accounts and processing credit card transactions.
o Work closely with Sales Support and the Sales Team to establish and maintain healthy customer accounts within established credit policies.
o Post cheques, credit card and other payments to customers’ accounts, prepare bank deposits and ensure customers pay for accurate orders; follow up with the dedicated Sales Support team to establish and apply new contract terms as required.
· Complete Team Member expense setup for payment, reconciliation and posting to the various GL accounts in the company ledger.
· Resolve discrepancies and note corrections with the assistance and guidance of the AR/AP Lead.
· Assist the Finance Team with special accounting projects, reports and ad hoc requests as required by Lead and Controller.
· Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential and following our confidentiality policies. Disregarding this policy can lead to termination, even when done unintentionally. This policy is binding even after separation of employment.
Qualifications:
· Post-secondary degree or diploma in finance & accounting, or a related field
· AP experience in a similar industry (fully integrated manufacturing or brewery as asset)
· Advances in MS Office suite of programs, specifically advanced Excel, and you have experience with accounting software programs. Experience with MS Dynamics NAV is an asset
· Diligent and efficient with data entry and you can work effectively under deadlines organizing multiple projects

· Strong personality with advanced internal and external customer service skills, and ability to change gears quickly without skipping a beat
