THE OPPORTUNITY:
This is an opportunity for an exceptional customer service representative, who wants to grow and develop their career while being member of an outstanding, close-knit team, located in Toronto, ON.
REPORT:
The Customer Service position will be a part of our Operations team and will report to the Import / Export Supervisor.
TIMELINE:
P&W Intermodal is looking to fill the position as soon as possible.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
As a member of this team, you will be
· Preparing, and sharing export documentation with customers, brokers, and Customs Authorities
· Planning of strategic dispatches of trucks in accordance with company policies, customer requirements, and hours of service rules and regulations;
· Working closely with colleagues and drivers to collectively strive for exceptional customer service excellence at the lowest cost
· Checking bookings and vessel schedules
· Scheduling loadings with customers over the phone or email in line with internal and external requirements
· Creating detailed internal orders timely and accurately
· Responding to customers inquiries and facilitating the resolution of problems in a timely manner
· Performing other duties as they arise.
EXPERIENCE:
One of the following are required; both are preferred:
· 2 years operational/customer service experience in Intermodal transportation
· University/college education preferably with a concentration in supply chain logistics
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
· Top notch customer service skills
– Export co-ordination experience an asset
– Isotank and flexi bulk shipment experience an asset
· Excellent internal communication and teamwork skills
· Strong ability to multi-task and enjoy working in a high-paced environment
· Strong organizational skills
· Excellent proficiency with computers and programs such as MS Office, Excel and Outlook
· Data input accuracy and efficiency
· Ability to continually be learning and willing to adapt to changing responsibilities
· Exemplify patience and professionalism
· Ability to “think outside of the box”
· Flexibility with working hours and days of the week considered an asset.
