Job Post: Talent Acquisition Specialist
The position of Talent Acquisition Specialist is accountable to the Human Resources Manager and various other managers to develop and execute the recruitment and onboarding of qualified candidates.
This includes a wide range of talent acquisition activities such as sourcing key talent, creating candidate pipelines, networking to attract top candidates in our industry while being a brand ambassador and playing a key role in our social media presence.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Proactively partner with the HR Manager and other various departments to identify staffing needs, determine selection criteria and align corporate goals with available human resources
- Design job descriptions and interview questions that reflect each position’s requirements
- Plan interview and selection procedures, including screening calls, assessments and in-person interviews
- Assess candidate information, including resumes and contact details
- Source potential candidates through online channels (e.g. social platforms and professional networks)
- Create and maintain a social media presence as it relates to talent acquisition.
- Proactively participate in community activities to promote the organization’s brand through job fairs, networking opportunities, associations, etc.
- Forecast quarterly and annual hiring needs by department
- Foster long-term relationships with past applicants and potential candidate
- Manage an Applicant Tracking System
- Create and execute sourcing methodologies to effectively develop a candidate pipeline.
- Partner with various agencies to ensure optimal ad exposer.
- Aid HR Manager with the daily requirements of the HR Department
Experience
- Minimum 4 years of experience providing full cycle recruitment for various roles both skilled trades and office roles **Priority will be given to candidates with networking experience in hiring skilled trades in the manufacturing and the service of heavy trucks
- Experience and success in recruiting and filling hard to fill, full time skilled trade roles.
- Schooling in Human Resource Studies
- Experience in using hiring online platforms, creating job descriptions and ads in Indeed, Zip recruiter, Monster etc
- Excellent time management and communication skills.
- Candidates must be capable of making compelling arguments on the spot
- High levels of integrity, diplomacy, and tact, with an ability to always maintain confidentiality.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multi task and work within established deadlines.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships inside and outside of the organization.
- Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work at home if required
- Strong computer skills with excellent formatting skills in Microsoft Office
- Fluent in English with a strong vocabulary. Candidates to be capable of presenting themselves with a clear and inviting tone over the telephone.
Compensation: $40,000-70,000. Starting compensation is highly dependent on past experience

Salary: $40,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
