WPI Looking for Accountant / Financial Analyst at Windsor, ON Full Time

We’re looking for an Accountant / Financial Analyst to join our team!

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Accounting or Business Administration
• 2+ years of accounting and / or financial analyst experience
• Sharp analytical and accounting skills with a keen attention to detail
• Proficient with computer accounting program SAGE 300 (Accpac)
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/Outlook, etc.)

Duties and Responsibilities under the supervision of the CFO, will include, but are not limited to the following:

• Daily and monthly reconciliation of all bank accounts
• A/R – post & apply daily cash receipts to sub-ledger
• A/P – post invoices, schedule and prepare vendor payments
• Assist with Payroll Processing and Reporting
• Assist with monthly reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy (accruals, capital asset review)
• Preparation of HST filing in accordance with reporting requirements
• Monitor company’s compliance with Provincial Government reporting requirements
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
• Assist with monthly and annual financial reporting requirements
• Maintain an orderly filing system, conducive to supporting reviews and/or audits by regulatory agencies
• Additional special projects as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Other Requirements

• Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
• Payroll experience a plus
• Intermediate / Advanced in Microsoft Excel
• Organized self-starter
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Normal business hours (Monday – Friday, 40 hours/week) but may be required to work outside normal working hours in order to meet deadlines.
