If you are an experienced Estimator with Residential Construction Estimating experience and you are looking for your next role, this may be the position for you.
North Star Home Vision Inc is a fast growing, family run, General Contracting company, servicing Muskoka and all surrounding areas. We have three departments, Custom Builds and Home Remodelling. Including, North Star Solutions which services cottage owners that require property maintenance, junk removal and interior/exterior cleaning.
Responsibilities:
- Managing all aspects of Construction Project (scoping, sketching, and estimating)
- Ensuring estimate completion timelines are met.
- Preparing accurate job costing and estimation, ensuring target margins are met.
- Maintaining sub contractor and third-party relationships
- Delivering exceptional customer service.
- Ability to manage competing demands
- Consistent communication, daily / weekly reporting
- Consult and communicate with engineers, owners, architects, and subcontractors.
In Addition, the candidate will require the following:
- 5+ years working directly with Residential/Commercial Clients
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and drawings, as well as providing take-offs using Estimating Software
- Proficient software skills – MS office suite, Xactimate, Active Takeoff, Estimating software(s)
- Strong working knowledge of construction theories and Ontario Building Code.
- Strong problem resolution skills
- Strong negotiation skills

Salary: $60,000.00-$68,000.00 per year
