Job Description
Assists the Payroll Manager with the daily operations and supervision of staff in the Payroll Department to ensure payroll is processed and accurate calculation of wages, tax withholdings and company deductions are completed.
Job Responsibility including but not limited to:
Oversees the daily processing within the department and assists in the supervision of the Payroll Coordinators under the guidance of the Payroll Manager.
Manages the planning, execution, and accurate processing of the weekly and biweekly payroll processes on systems ProBusiness and Workbrain
Monitors federal, state and local taxes, employee garnishments and all other deductions to ensure accuracy of individual paychecks.
Provides support to the entire organization regarding all payroll related matters as needed per Payroll Manager
Reviews the updates and changes made to all the employee master records to ensure all changes processed by the stores, districts and regions are accurately updated in Workbrain and ProBusiness
Partners with Accounting to ensure the banking reconciliation process and journal entries are completed in a timely manner
Creates and provides specialty reports from ProBusiness for the entire organization upon request by the Payroll Manager
Tracks exempt employee sick and vacation time and monitors automated vacation accrual process within ProBusiness to ensure accuracy.
Monitors, audits and reconciles report totals and balances throughout the payroll related processing cycle to ensure accuracy.
Provides assistance to the Payroll Manager on projects, audits and special requests from internal and external clients.

Qualifications
Minimum Candidate Qualifications:
3+ years experience in payroll administration
Knowledge and use of Payroll System required and STAR or other similar time keeping system preferred
Payroll Compliance Practitioner Certification preferred
Knowledge and use of Payroll Ceridian Dayforce HCM preferred
Provides excellent customer service according to H&M standards
Ability to lead, motivate and develop a team
Must be able to effectively partner with personnel of organizational units involved throughout Company
Knowledge of payroll tax law preferred
Ability to work independently and be self motivated while still working within a team environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Good organizational skills, time management, prioritizing, and able to work with deadlines
Proficient in Microsoft Office and ability to adapt to Company specific systems
Bachelors Degree in accounting or finance preferred
Ability to work flexible hours
