The Role
The prime objective of the Project Coordinator is to work for the Métis Nation of Ontario to support the Métis Youth Culture and Way of Life Program (Grades 7-9) by assisting with the planning, coordinating and delivering of seasonal virtual culture camps and Way of life sessions for Métis youth that will expand Métis youth understanding of traditional knowledge and languages, and to provide leadership skills training to help build resiliency. The programs will include land-based activities and provide culturally appropriate experiences to revitalize cultural knowledge and provide youth with the tools to set them up for success and be able to move forward on a path towards healing and reconciliation. This position will also support the Mental Health & Addiction program through youth life promotion activity administration.
