TRANSLINK SHIPPING, INC.(hereafter referred to as “TRANSLINK”) is a NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) established upon the approval of Ministry of Commerce and registered and recorded in Ministry of Communications, with the scope of business as undertaking and offering the integrated all-sided services including shipping (full container and groupage), air freight, air-bridge service and personal effects etc., which is expanding and growing along with the constant opening-up of relevant nation policies.
The Position:
We are looking for a Logistics Supervisor to develop company’s core business and lead our team to manage the day to day operation. This position reports to Translink Shipping General Manager in Seattle and works closely with all other functional roles as part of the Management team. It is a challenging and fast-paced position that holds many learning and development opportunities as part of the Supply Chain network. This position will be based in our facility in Richmond, BC.

– Position: Logistic Supervisor
– Terms of employment: Full time, Permanent, 40 hours per week
– Current Base Salary: $38/hour, Overtime rate $57/hour over 40 hours per week
– Bonus: Based on performance
– Day off & Vacation: Two days off per week & 10 Days per year.

Duties and Responsibilities:
– Maintain existing clients, develop potential clients, provide quotes for inquries.
– Plan, Organize and Oversee operational shipping orders of the organization.
– Monitor order related issues, effectively communicate between clients, dispatching crews, and coordinators.
– Prepare and submit progress reports for the department.
– Supervise and provide support to logistic team.
– Process and submit client orders and oversee the process.
– Support the customer service crew by providing cargo shipping information.
– Oversee the whole shipping process to ensure smooth handling of cargo orders.
Requirements:
– Diploma degree or equivalent experience required or willingness to continue education
– 2+ years supply chain management experience in transportation, distribution and/or freight management
– 2-4 years in a supervisory or management role
– General marketing outlook, developing ability
– Ability to interact effectively at multiple levels
– Excellent communication and presentation skills
