Dynamic Air Shelters is a fully integrated manufacturer of air-beam, fabric shelters. Dynamic Air Shelters Ltd. has an immediate opening for a Financial Analyst. It is a remote position (work from home) with occasional travel required
Job Summary
The Financial Analyst will be part of the finance team and will support all aspects of financial services for the Canadian operations of the organization including accounting records, accounting systems, management reporting and financial controls. DAS employees must adhere to company policies and procedures with regard for safety, quality, and lean processes.
Job Functions and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will work to support the financial controller as required. The ideal candidate will be an organized, collaborative team member who is able to execute financial processes with a focus on driving efficiency throughout the organization. If hired, the candidate will focus on broader business goals and objectives, and proactively work towards making changes to consolidate tasks and encourage more efficient ways of working. Examples of specific duties include (but are not limited to):
Reporting on targeted sales, profitability, cash flows and other business goals and objectives.
Work with the financial controller to continuously evaluate, maintain and enhance the finance and accounting functions of the organization, including monitoring and reporting financial performance.
Monitor and analyze the financial performance of the organization.
Lead the asset management function by tracking capital asset listings and expanding upon the detail of current processes and ensuring assets are dispatched in accordance with company operational objectives.
Be responsible for the management accounting and KPI reporting for manufacturing operations, including monthly dashboard reporting to management.
Provide valuable financial insights (including forecasts) and analysis to assist the leadership team in decision making regarding formulating and executing the strategy to optimize profits.
Update, develop, document, and implement all necessary financial policies and procedures.
Job-Related Employment Requirements
At least 2 years accounting experience.
Degree in business or related field of study from a recognized university or a combination of education, training, and experience.
CPA qualified (or CPA candidate).
Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
Experience with manufacturing would be an asset but is not required.
Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections to provide insight.
The candidate can work from home in the long term with regular (but infrequent) travel to Grand Bank.
