Zewallet – Software Engineer (Backend) – Job Description
We are seeking talented software engineers who love to code and are motivated to make an impact on the world.
At Zewallet, we’re building the newest and most efficient way for customers to pay at brick-and-mortar businesses. Our software helps restaurants be more time-efficient, cost-effective, and eco-friendly by allowing their customers to pay and split the bill with their friends using their phone within seconds.

What will you be doing?
– Design algorithms and flowcharts
– Produce clean, efficient code based on specifications
– Integrate software components and third-party programs/systems
– Verify and deploy programs and systems
– Blueprint and build database tables
– Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade software
– Gather and evaluate user feedback
– Recommend and execute improvements
– Create technical documentation for reference and reporting
We are looking for motivated graduates who have studied software engineering or computer science and are great coders.
*Requirements*
– Work in a continuous integration environment with modern cloud technology
– Proven experience as a Software Developer, Software Engineer, or similar role
– Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
– Experience with software design and development in a test-driven environment
– Knowledge of coding languages (e.g JavaScript, HTML, CSS), frameworks (e.g Nest.js, React.js), APIs (e.g GraphQL), and databases (e.g PostgreSQL, AWS)
– Willingness to learn new languages and technologies
– Excellent communication skills
– Resourcefulness and troubleshooting aptitude
– Attention to detail
– Leadership skills
– Optimistic attitude with a growth mindset
*Work Environment & Benefits*
Here’s what you’ll get if you join Zewallet:
– Permanent contractor, with eligibility for full-time employment after 6 months.
