Purpose of the position
Reporting to the Team Lead, Talent & Immigration, you will be responsible for leading major staffing initiatives, projects and programs to obtain the best staff for SMART while ensuring that corporate strategic goals are met.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides expertise and guidance during the full recruitment cycle
- Works with managers to create recruitment plans by setting timelines and qualification criteria for selecting successful candidates
- Vetting resumes and presenting recommended candidates for digital interviews
- Consult hiring managers to effectively attract, interview and select candidates
- Reinforces SMART’s employment brand and culture
- Managing the HR email inbox
- Supporting the team with the preparation and sending of offer, travel and verification letters.
- Ensures all employees are onboarded according to our onboarding program
- Partners with an HRBP and specific business units to provide workforce planning, recruitment and onboarding
- Performing other duties as required
Education and work experience
- Degree or diploma in human resources or a related discipline
- A minimum of three years of experience in a staffing role in a fast-paced environment
- Proven track record in information technology sourcing and placing IT professionals (i.e Software Developers or Product)
- Agency hire experience
- Proficient knowledge and demonstrated results using recruitment technology (i.e. LinkedIn, Facebook, database mining, social media)
- Proficiency using Microsoft® Office software
- Knowledge in Immigration processes would be an asset
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage client relationships
- In-depth knowledge of the recruitment process, recruitment metrics and selection principles and practices
Supervision
- This position has no direct reports
