Job Overview
The Payroll Specialist will perform full cycle payroll processing as well as accounting functions within the FRAM + Slokker group of companies. This is an in-office role located at our head office in Mississauga
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with Human Resources team to ensure proper set up of new employees, terminations and leaves of absence in ADP Workforce Now system
Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly, salaried and union employees
Run year end payroll processing and reporting
Keep abreast of payroll legislation and ensure compliance
Calculate and report taxable benefits
Responsible for calculating payouts on employee terminations according to ESA standards
Responsible for responding to payroll inquiries from employees
Post transactions to journals, ledgers and other records
Ad hoc payroll reports as requested by the management team
Assist finance team with accounting tasks such as: preparing bank reconciliations, monitoring accounts receivable and bookkeeping
Maintain confidentiality of organizational information

Qualifications
Accounting diploma or degree
Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation is preferred
