Holland Bloorview’s People & Culture team is comprised of dedicated professionals who provide business-oriented, client-facing service to meet the diverse needs of the organization. The Human Resources Student will join the People & Culture team for a temporary full-time contract, expected to be 8 weeks in length.
Key Responsibilities
Support recruitment and selection activities including: managing job postings, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks
Support talent, acquisition and engagement activities including: drafting letters of employment, drafting contract letters, following up on outstanding documentation, supporting the vulnerable sector screening process and supporting the administration of the probationary review process.
Provide reception and front desk coverage for People & Culture department to respond to general inquiries from staff regarding recruitment, updating information, parking passes, staff identification badges and more.
Involved in completing projects internally within the People & Culture department
Other responsibilies as assigned
Qualifications
Currently enrolled in, or recently completed post-secondary education in Human Resources Management, or related field
Previous work experience working with confidential information in a fast paced environment, requiring organization and efficient prioritization is an asset
Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work independently, while functioning as an effective member of the team
