Project Administrator
Summary
Bitfarms, through its Canadian operating entity Backbone Hosting Solutions Inc., is a publicly listed Bitcoin mining company (Nasdaq/TSXV: BITF). To support its infrastructure expansion and construction projects, Bitfarms is hiring a project administrator to join our team.
Reporting to the SVP Operations and Infrastructure as well as the VP of Finance the Project Administrator will be responsible for assisting in the project budgeting process, project tracking and reporting within the Company’s project management system. The Project Administrator will also provide budget to actual and status reporting to Operations leadership and the finance department.

Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support during all aspects of the project development process, including budgeting, tracking and ensuring that all applicable procedures are followed.
- Initiate all projects and purchase orders in Project Pro, a project management tool add-on to D365 ERP system, in accordance with board approved projects.
- Record all required project information and periodic field reports into Project Pro (PP).
- Support Director and project manager in obtaining quotes from Consultants and Contractors.
- Prepare Purchase Requisitions in Project Pro and D365 for approval by Finance.
- Prepare consultants’ contracts for signature (using OAQ, OIQ or other) and when signed issue with approved PO.
- Prepare contractors’ contracts (CCDC-2 or CCDC-5b or other) for signature, and when signed issue with approved PO.
- Coordinate daily team activities related to required process and information flows.
- Receive project invoices from consultants, contractors and suppliers; review with PM and Director, and submit for payment processing when approved
- Follow-up on accounts payable invoices for all contracts, consultants and disbursements
- Manage budget and estimated cost to completion updates in PP
- Generate documentation for changes to Consultants’ and Contractors’ PO’s as needed; submit to Finance for approval when approved by Director or PM.
- Manage the collection, tracking, submission and filing of project close-out documentation
- Assist in preparation of analyses and presentations including periodic project updates and estimates to completion analyses.
- Coordinate with SVP Operations and Project Managers on project status and track receipt of goods
Required qualifications:
- College degree and/or certification in project management, or equivalent experience
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office, word and excel
- Some knowledge of bookkeeping and/or accounting
- Strong organization and planning skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Bilingual, with strong written English skills
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics ERP is an asset
- Experience with Project Pro (management tool) is an asset
