WinnerMax Capital Looking for Analyst, Fund Operations at Toronto, ON Full Time

Analyst is primarily accountable for managing and coordinating fund operation activities, evaluation, accounting and monitoring of private equity or venture capital investment.

What will you do?

Ensure timely completion and accuracy of various reports and reconciliations relating to PE/VC investment summary report, portfolio performance, multi-asset overall report, benchmarking at monthly/quarterly basis.

Coordinate fund level operating activities: investment committee meeting, preparation of investment updates and reports for the board, filing, investment data management, transaction and account management.

Ensure the accuracy and security of important documents of PE/VC investment, especially legal instruments, to avoid legal pitfalls.

Act as liaison between different investment teams and head office to make sure important investment progress and decisions are communicated with both sides in a timely manner.

Assist in the maintenance and review of the waterfall data for management fee, capital call notice, contribution, and distribution calculations.

Work with Legal and Compliance team to ensure compliance with various fund policies and procedures.

Assist in the review of financial statements, note disclosures and management reports to ensure accuracy and completeness, as well as providing valuable insights and commentary.

Ensure process documentation is kept up to date

Prioritize workload in a timely fashion to meet deadlines

What do you need to succeed?

Must-Have

Undergraduate or Masters Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Legal or other related discipline.

Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.

Knowledge of financial industry and business routine.

Ability to manage investment data and generating various report using Excel (Advanced Excel, Excel VBA), PowerBI, SharePoint and Backstop (training will be provided).

Is comfortable to learn new systems and skills.

Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Solid prioritization and organizations skills with exceptional attention to detail

Nice to Have

Relevant work experience in PE/VC fund or law firm setting is highly preferred

Excellent communication skills in English and Chinese, both oral and written, ability to draft reports and presentation documents both in English and Chinese.
