This posting is for Two (2) Auxiliary ON Call positions (18 hours biweekly) working Saturdays and Sundays
Working at the COVID-19 Testing & Assessment Centre, 49 A Waterfront next to Motor Vehicle Branch.
Reporting to the clinic manager or shift supervisor and with the assistant of the patient educator, the tester provides COVID 19 testing for low complexity clients.
The position would be required to perform Assessments and COVID-19 testing on low acuity clients, including temperature. PCR for Adults as well as a Mouth Rinse Gargle (MRG). Maintain and promote personal safety and infection control practices for self and those entering the building. Strong communication skills, and ability to calmly work with clients who are anxious. Be able to run swabs to Whitehorse General Hospital lab during & after clinic hours.

Essential Qualifications
LPN or RN license within the past 10 years or the following health professions (EMS, Firefighters, Dental Hygienist/Therapists, Doctors, Dentists, Pharmacists, Home Care Providers, Midwives, Physiotherapists, Dieticians, Optometrists, Occupational Therapists, Chiropractors, Osteopaths; and Massage Therapists)
Knowledge, skills, and abilities
Ability to understand written and oral instructions
Ability to work in a team environment
Self-motivated and adaptable to change
FN101 or knowledge of Yukon FN History
HIPMA
Conditions of Employment: Valid Class 5 Driver’s licence, completion of Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) upon hire
Job Requirements: shift work would be 8:00 am to 12:30 pm, Saturday and Sunday
Testing would be from 8:30 am – Noon for the public.
