An exciting opportunity awaits the right candidate to be part of a fast-growing company. We are looking for a reliable Chief Accountant to assist in the revenue cycle and month end processing and reporting.
An effective chief accountant has good knowledge of business cycles and accounting principles. You must be organized professionals with a great eye for detail. You must be reliable and able to carry out tasks autonomously and collaboratively.
You will report to the Director Finance.
What you will do
Develop and maintain excellent business relationships with other departments, such as sales and implementation teams, to manage the company’s revenue cycle
Support director of finance with monthly financial reporting and annual audit
Prepare invoices and interact with customers
Prepare sales tax compliance reports
Support most aspects of sales accounting (billing, reporting, etc.)
Manage journal entries, invoices and reconcile accounts for the monthly closing process
Manage accounts receivable correspondence and inquiries with customers
Assist in the preparation of sales budgets or forecasts
Support and maintain customer accounts (contracts, discounts, rebates, allowances, holds, and credit limits)
Developing, implementing, and maintaining A/R accounting policies, reporting and procedures
Prepare and review various reports and financial analyses
Review post and process all customer payments and reconcile customer accounts
Manage customer credit files, perform periodic credit reviews, and assist with new account credit approvals
Sales tax compliance research
Assist management with ad-hoc projects
What you will need to be successful
Bilingual
CPA accounting designation or BSc/BA in accounting, finance or relevant field
3+ years of proven experience
Proactive, positive and problem-solving attitude
Foster teamwork and promote knowledge transfer among team members
Ensure efficient and high-quality service to business partners
Proficient in MS Office, with advanced Microsoft Excel
Experience working in multi currencies environment
Experience in recurring billing (SAAS) schedules/adjustments
Experience in IFRS/public company environment
Solid attention to detail, accurate data-entry, and sound organizational skills
Very good communication and interpersonal skills
Performs in a fast-paced, startup environment.
Ability to adapt to the business’ changing needs
Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and accounting procedures
Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, reporting etc.)
Well-organized with ability to prioritize
