Great Moose Adventures Looking for Phonics Teacher at GMA Academy at Gravenhurst, ON Full Time

We are looking for a Phonics Teacher to join our GMA Academy team for the 2022/23 school year (September start).

The role involves teaching phonics to small groups of students from Kindergarten-Grade 4. This is a part time position (approximately 20 hours per week) with the potential for full time in the future.

The successful candidate will:

• be able to plan and deliver high quality lessons following our phonics program (training will be provided)

• have high expectations of our students

• support each student through differentiated teaching and an individualised approach toward education

• be able to continually assess and track learning to enable sustained progress in all areas of a student’s education

• be a strong team player with excellent communication skills

• be able to work outdoors in physically demanding environments and for extended periods of time (for recess and cover duties)

• be an Ontario Certified Teacher (or hold a teaching certification from another province or country)
