Job Summary:
In this role, you will be responsible for requirement analysis, technical design/implementation, testing, documentation, and user training/support from beginning to end. This role will work closely with user groups, and broader IT teams to analyze and implement requirements. The main focus areas of this role include, but are not limited to: systems analysis and business support, new system development, and reporting/data analysis support.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with key business users to develop new and enhance existing IT systems, mainly finance, retail related systems and data warehouse systems
• Implement solutions based on functional and technical specifications
• Perform system/data analysis to help verify business requirements, and support functional and technical designs
• Develop effective, defect-free source code that meets business requirements and team standards
• Create and maintain production support documentation
• Actively provide business and technical assistance by answering user questions

Qualifications:
Specific training or job experience required includes:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 3 years plus experience with Java enterprise application development
• Good SQL skills, with at least 2 years’ working experience with major database products – preferably MS SQL Server
• Experience with data warehouse or big data system development is an asset
• Experience with Hyperion Planning is an asset
