Telecon Looking for Financial Analyst at Saint-Laurent, QC Full Time

Reporting to the Senior Business Partner responsible for finance the Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting the timely production of accurate consolidated financial information for management and business leaders. Specifically, the Financial Analyst will be responsible for:

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participating in the budgeting and forecasting process
• Ensure compliance with internal and external financial policies and regulations
• Prepare ad hoc financial analysis, presentations and reports as required
• Supporting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial packages and presentations
• Providing variance analysis of actual results against budget and forecast
• Contribute to the month-end close process, including analysis, closing entries, explanations, etc
• Developing, tracking & reporting on KPIs, such as AR & WIP metrics
• Driving better reporting to help the operational teams manage and grow the business (develop Power BI tools)

REQUIREMENTS

• CPA, CA designation an asset
• One to three years of relevant financial accounting experience
• Good knowledge of accounting principles and practices including IFRS
• Experience with relevant accounting software packages and Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)
• Excellent written and oral communication skills (French and English)
• Ability to meet assigned deadlines
• Ability to maintain highly confidential information
• Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all categories of employees
• Ability to take initiative, work independently and operate at an optimal level
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
