Long & McQuade Danforth Looking for Cello Teacher at Toronto, ON Full Time

Job Description:

• Long & McQuade Danforth has an on-site lesson centre that offers lessons in piano, guitar, bass, drums, woodwinds, brass, strings and voice.

• Work as an independent contractor and teach thirty minute weekly one-on-one in-person and online lessons to piano and voice students of all skill levels and ages.

• Regardless of the student’s stage in the learning process, their ability, or their interest in a particular style of music, all teachers provide everyone with a professional learning experience.

• Teachers start with two days of availability with the opportunity to open more days as the lesson centre grows.

• Teachers negotiate their rate. Rates are competitive with music schools in our area.

Suitable candidates must have at least one of the following:

• Music degree or diploma from a recognized university or college

• Minimum grade 8 RCM standing with grade 2 rudiments

• Previous teaching experience with all ages of students

• Knowledge and application of standard teaching methods and lesson curriculum in the private or group lesson context

Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

COVID-19 considerations:
Students are welcome to wear a mask. Hand sanitizer and cleaning products are available in each lesson room. Social distancing and plexiglass for wind and voice students and teachers.
